At ARAKNE, we are committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of our users. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your data.

This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit or use the ARAKNE Platform, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information. This policy applies to information we collect:
- On this Platform.
- In email, text, and other electronic messages between you and this Platform.
- Through mobile and desktop applications you download from this Platform, which provide dedicated non-browser-based interaction between you and this Platform.
- When you interact with our advertising and applications on third-party websites and services, if those applications or advertising include links to this policy.
This policy does not apply to information collected by:
- Any third party (including our affiliates and non-affiliates), including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from the Platform.

2. Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It
We collect several types of information from and about users of our Platform, including information:
- By which you may be personally identified, such as name, postal address, email address, telephone number, national ID/residency number, payment information (e.g., credit card or bank account details), or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline ("personal information").

Your User Contributions are posted on and transmitted to you at your own risk. Although we may allow you to set certain privacy settings for such information by logging into your account profile, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Additionally, we cannot control the actions of other users of the Platform with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.

As you navigate through and interact with our Platform, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including:
- Details of your visits to our Platform, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Platform.
- Information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type.

2.3. Camera Usage:
The ARAKNE application may request permission to access your device's camera. This permission is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Profile Picture Uploads: To allow you to capture a photo directly for use as your profile picture within the application.
- Product/Equipment Photo Uploads: To enable lessors to capture photos of equipment they wish to list for rent and upload them directly to their product listings.
- Identity Verification: In some cases, we may require you to capture images of identification documents for account verification and security purposes, ensuring a safe and trusted environment for all users.
We do not access or use your camera for any purpose other than those explicitly stated above. No photos or videos captured using the camera are stored unless you explicitly upload them to the application as part of an application function (e.g., profile pictures or product photos). All data collected via the camera is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our strict data security standards, and in compliance with Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) requirements.
2.4. User-Submitted Content (Photos and Media):
Our Platform may allow you to upload or post photos, videos, or other media as part of User Contributions, such as product reviews, comments, or reporting issues related to rented items (e.g., defective or damaged items). When you submit such content, you agree that these photos or media may be collected, stored, and displayed by us, and may be visible to other users or the public, depending on the privacy settings of the feature you are using. We use this content to improve our services, address complaints, display reviews, and verify the accuracy of information provided. You are responsible for ensuring that any content you submit adheres to our Terms of Use and does not infringe upon the rights of any third party. All user-submitted photos and media are handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our data security standards.
2.5. Geolocation Data:
The ARAKNE application may request permission to access your device's geolocation data. This data is used for the following purposes:
- Identifying Nearest Lessors: To enable us to display lessors and rental products closest to your location, making it easier for you to find what you need quickly and efficiently.
- Promoting Lessors and Advertisements: We may use your location data to provide personalized advertisements and promotions from nearby lessors, aiming to enhance your experience on the Platform and provide you with relevant services.
Geolocation data is collected with your explicit consent, and you can disable this feature at any time from your device settings. All geolocation data is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our strict data security standards, and in compliance with Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) requirements.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information:
- To present our Platform and its contents to you.
- To provide you with information, products, or services that you request from us.
- To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.
- To provide you with notices about your account/subscription, including expiration and renewal notices.
- To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection.
- To notify you about changes to our Platform or any products or services we offer or provide through it.
- To allow you to participate in interactive features on our Platform.
- In any other way we may describe when you provide the information.
- For any other purpose with your consent.
We may also use your information to contact you about our own and third-parties' goods and services that may be of interest to you. If you do not want us to use your information in this way, please adjust your user preferences in your account profile.
4. Disclosure of Your Information
We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction. We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide as described in this Privacy Policy:

- For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
- With your consent.

5. Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information
We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:
- Tracking Technologies and Advertising: You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this Platform may then be inaccessible or not function properly.
- Promotional Offers from the Company: If you do not wish to have our Company use your contact information to promote our own or third parties' products or services, you can opt-out by adjusting your user preferences in your account profile.
6. Accessing and Correcting Your Information
You can review and change your personal information by logging into the Platform and visiting your account profile page. You may also send us an email at [Support Email Address] to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect. If you delete your User Contributions from the Platform, copies of your User Contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or might have been copied or stored by other Platform users.
7. Data Security
We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology.
The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Platform, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Platform. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Platform.

If we make material changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will notify you through a notice on the Platform home page. 11. Compliance with Saudi Laws (Personal Data Protection Law - PDPL)
We comply with the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which came into effect on September 14, 2023. Our obligations under this law include:
- Consent: Obtaining explicit consent from individuals before collecting or processing their personal data, unless another legal basis permits it.
- Purpose Limitation: Collecting only personal data necessary to achieve the specified purpose.
